Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Fans' Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Good News

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video this week, and fan speculation has been rampant.

The first season presents a large cast of personalities residing in the afterlife, pits them against each other accompanied by musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and establishes tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that drive audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season vary widely, but certain threads recur frequently: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the binding agreement affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service specifically in mind," the creator stated earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That could imply fans have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast season 2 moves, and how many of what they're anticipating unfolds now.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some fascinating backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — especially in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a few fans make a bingo card about the new season," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've already completed a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
