Amazing $30 Map-Making Humble Bundle Represents a Online Gaming GM's Dream

Following a brief run back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle has returned with an encore that lasts until Dec. 2. Hailed as an extensive collection of mapping tools created by ProFantasy Software over the years, the entire collection carries a value of over $1,300. Additionally, there exist three different bundles available here.

Primary Feature

The standout feature is certainly a lifetime license for Campaign Cartographer 3+, a professional-grade cartography program that can be used to create everything from fantasy overworld maps, detailed regional charts, city maps, and most notably, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

An imaginative landscape chart generated in Campaign Cartographer 3+.

Package Levels

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, starting at just one dollar, includes only four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, yet it provides new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen aerial castle designs including hundreds of map markers, eight complete urban centers, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-product collection for at least $15 is where things get more interesting through inclusion of a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from ProFantasy's ongoing subscription program featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and various other tools. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.

Full Package

For a minimum of $30, the 39-item bundle includes all the following:

  • Fractal Terrains 3+
  • Dungeon Designer 3
  • City Designer 3
  • Cosmic Mapping System
  • Viewpoint Enhancement
  • Dioramas 3
  • Character Artist 3
  • Fantasy Interior Symbols
  • Contemporary Design Pack
  • Schley Dungeon Collection
  • Symbol Set 5: Cities of Schley
  • Token Treasury: Monsters 2
  • Source Maps: Temples, Tombs and Catacombs
  • World War 2 Interactive Atlas

  • Permanent CC3+ Access
  • 3D City Symbols
  • Comprehensive Mapping Guide
  • Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland
  • Token Treasury: Monsters 1
  • Fortress Source Maps
  • Metropolitan Source Maps

Every volume from the Annual series are included here, plus numerous additional tools and content enabling creators to craft complete solar systems, or just go all-in on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, dungeons, cities, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the full bundle is so worth it, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. But it's obviously more advantageous for map-making newbies considering you even get the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The sole limitation is that while you can redeem the deal on any platform, the applications only function with Windows systems.

Charitable Component

As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase supports charitable organizations. For this one, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief. The Bundle Filters option is toward the top of the page, but you can also select their donation amount on the right side of the page. Additionally available is an "Adjust Donation" drop-down just below that, enabling adjustment of the distribution percentage goes to Humble, Profantasy, and Save the Children.
